Calling the Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran International leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri as a 'foreign actor', the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) central spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan on Saturday said that Tahir-ul-Qadri is working on a foreign agenda and never could be a patriot.

In an email message the TTP spokesman said, Tahir-ul-Qadri is sponsoring business commercials being aired by various local TV channels in which Qadri is staging the drama of saving the Pakistani state. Ihsan said Tahir-ul-Qadri doesn't know that people of Pakistan have recognised Qadri as payroll agent of those powers who are working to destroy this state.

"The current Qadri's arrival in Pakistan is upon the orders of his foreign masters and for accomplishment of their agenda," the TTP statement titled "Arrival of a Foreign Actor in Pakistan" said. The statement further said that if Tahir-ul-Qadri was patriot then he would never have left Pakistan rather would have preferred to stay here to serve the Muslim nation. On Thursday, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri arrived in Lahore after touring the world for four months to address a grand public reception being held in his honour to extend him a warm welcome at historic Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore on December 23.

Sources said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri would address five million people on the day in connection with his slogan, "Save the state, not politics" campaign. The address would be telecast live around the world by Minhaj TV as well as leading broadcast channels of Pakistan. On Sunday (today), Dr Qadri would announce a national reform agenda to put the country back on rails. The people are eagerly waiting for his speech. Meanwhile, preparations of the said gathering have reached their final stage.
